Experience:
David Baguley is a Consultant Clinical Scientist (Audiology) and is Head of Audiology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His clinical interests are tinnitus, hyperacusis, and patients with complex hearing problems. David studied Psychology (BSc) and then Audiology (MSc) at Manchester University and became the Head of the Audiology Department at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge in 1989. He has over 110 peer-review publications, and a PhD on tinnitus from the University of Cambridge.
He is a co-author on the books: “Tinnitus: a multidisciplinary approach” (Whurr, 2005) and “Hyperacusis” (Plural, 2007), and co-edited the 7th edition of Ballantyne’s Deafness with John Graham. In 2006 David received an “International Award in Hearing” from the American Academy of Audiology, and in 2008 was awarded the Shapiro Prize of the British Tinnitus Association for the second time. David was appointed Raine Visiting Professor at the University of Western Australia in 2007, and has been awarded Visiting Professorships at Anglia Ruskin University (2009), and the University of Bristol (2010). He is a co-author of the recent book: “Living with tinnitus and hyperacusis”
